Objectives
Political Sciences and International Relations Graduate Program aims to contribute to the academic knowledge about  political sciences, political theory, transformation of global system, foreign policy of Turkey, regional studies on Middle East and neighbouring basins.

The program focuses on a wide range of interest starting from basic discussions to contemporary discussions of political theory. Moreover, it concentrates on global policies, neighbouring basins and regional studies notably on Middle East. Foreign-policy-making process, local socio-economic dynamics, political movements and resolution of conflict are among the other subjects of theoretical and field survey.

Political Sciences and International Relations Graduate Program aims to train researchers, who not only blend the knowledge and methods of other branches of social sciences with the discipline of Political Sciences and International Relations, but also evaluate local, regional and global knowledge sources with a relative and critical approach. Producing knowledge about Turkey's and its neighbouring basins with a scientific and an ethical responsibility is also expected from these researchers.
Descriptions
Graduate Programs can be divided into two as with-thesis and non-thesis graduate programs. Though they have distinctive differences, it might be claimed that those, who aim to have academic career, apply to graduate programs with thesis. However, those, who want to improve their business in other words, their non-academic career, prefer non-thesis graduate programs. 

Non-Thesis Graduate Program:

The aim of the Non-Thesis Graduate Program is to transmit knowledge to students on professional field and to show them how to put the existing knowledge into practice.

The study period of the Non-Thesis Graduate Program is three semesters. Students, who take ten courses, thirty credits, can start the project-preparing-period. After the assignment of the advisor through the suggestion of the department and the decision of the Board of Institute, students can start to prepare their projects at the last semester (the third semester). Those, who accomplish their projects, gain right to receive their diplomas.
 
Terms of Application:
  1. Four-year degree from an undergraduate program.

Graduate Program with Thesis:

The aim of the Political Sciences and International Relations Graduate Program with Thesis is to make scientific researches in order to contribute to science. If the candidate wants to make researches to become a scientist and an academician, s/he should choose master's program with thesis.
The study period of the Political Sciences and International Relations Graduate Program with Thesis is four semesters (two years). Students, who take seven courses, twenty-one  credits in the first and the second semesters, can begin thesis-preparing period. After the assignment of the thesis advisor through the suggestion of the department and the decision of the Board of Institute, students gain right to prepare their thesis in the last two semesters. Those, who complete their dissertation and accomplish thesis defence can receive their diplomas. 

Terms of Application:
  1. Four-year degree from an undergraduate program (Scientific preparation program will be applied for the candidates, who have graduated from another field of study).
  2. To score minimum 55 points (Equally weighted -valid only for three years). 
  3. To score minimum 450 points from GMAT or  610 points from GRE (Valid only for five years).
  4. Foreign candidates must accomplish the exam prepared by TÖMER (Turkish Education Research and Application Centre).
  5. Candidates, who have studied abroad, must take certificate of equivalence from YÖK (Council of Higher Education).
  6. To score minimum 50 points from YDS/ÜDS/KPDS or the equivalent point from TOFEL.
